The Lottery Industry Hall of Fame was founded in 2005 as a means of honoring those who have done the most to promote excellence and integrity in our industry and make the world lottery industry the great success that is has become today. The recipients of this award are all a credit to that ideal and join a select and distinguished group of world lottery industry professionals. The Lottery Hall of Fame is about thanking the leaders of this industry for inspiring in all of us that sense of mission, purpose and dedication that drives this industry forward.
The process of selecting and inducting new members into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame is formal and strictly controlled by the current members of the Hall of Fame. PGRI administrates it at the direction of the Hall of Fame membership who are the only ones to nominate and vote to admit new members. The voting process happens in the middle of the year and the induction ceremony is a high-profile event held at one of the lottery industry conferences.
