PGRI's Lottery Industry Hall of Fame Nomination/Induction Process

NOMINATIONS FOR PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBERS
  1. Nominations are accepted from current Hall of Fame Members only.
  2. Nominees must have been in the lottery industry for at least 10 continuous years and have had noteworthy achievements in the industry.
  3. Nominees must be active in the industry today.
  4. Those making the nominations must provide the biographical information on the proposed nominees in 500 words or less.
  5. Only one nomination will be accepted from a given nominator.
  6. Only one nominee will be accepted for a given organization.
  7. If more than one nominee is submitted for a given organization, the nominees’ names will be submitted to the CEO of the organization in question for a decision on which nominee the organization would like to submit.
  8. Nominations must be received in electronic form by Public Gaming Research Institute by
  9. July 31st.

ELECTION OF NEW MEMBERS
  1. The judges for selection of new members will be those existing members of the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame.
  2. Biographical information on all qualifying nominees will be sent electronically to judges by August 15th.
  3. Judges may vote for a maximum of four nominees.
  4. The four chosen by each judge will be given from one to four points: four for the judge’s first choice from among the four nominees, three for the judge’s second choice and so on.
  5. Judges will submit their votes electronically to the CPA firm, Bettinger, Mifflin, Rich CPA Group PS at laurel@bmrcpagroup.com by August 25th.

COUNTING OF VOTES & IDENTIFYING MEMBER DESIGNEES
  1. Votes will be counted by and results tabulated by the designated CPA firm.
  2. The two nominees from North America with the highest number of points will be the member designees along with the two nominees from outside of North America with the highest number of votes.  Each year will be inducted two new members from North America and two new members from outside of North America.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF DESIGNEES
  1. New member designees will be announced in PGRI's Morning Report the second week of September.
  2. An announcement with biographies of the new designees will appear in the September issue of Public Gaming International magazine.
  3. Details of the voting will not be made public but arrangements will be made for judges who are interested to see a summary of the voting.

INDUCTION CEREMONY
  1. Member designees will be inducted into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame at a ceremony whose time and place will be announced by PGRI in the first week of September.
